The infrared obstacle avoidance sensor module has a strong ability to adapt to the environment light. It has a pair of infrared emitter and receiver tubes, which emit infrared of frequency. When the direction of detection encounters obstacles (reflector), the infrared reflector returns to be received by the receiver tube. After the comparator circuit processing, the red indicator lights up, and the signal output interface outputs a digital signal (a low level signal). The detection distance can be adjusted by the potentiometer knob, the effective distance range is 0~20cm, the clockwise potentiometer can increase the detection distance, and the counterclockwise potentiometer can reduce the detection distance.
The sensor has the characteristics of small interference, easy assembly and easy use. It can be widely used in many applications such as obstacle avoidance, obstacle avoidance car, pipeline counting and black-and-white line tracing.
