1602 LCD, also called 1602 character LCD, is a dot matrix LCD module specially used to display letters, numbers, symbols, etc. 1602LCD refers to the display content of 16×2, that is, it can only display 32 characters at most. It consists of a number of 8X5 dot matrix character bits, each dot matrix character bit can display a character, there is an interval between each bit, and there is also an interval between each line, which plays the role of character spacing and line spacing. 8X5 dot matrix can be regarded as 8 rows and 5 columns of equally spaced led lamps, each lamp is equivalent to a pixel, and the lights are turned on and off to express characters.
