The magnetic switch (dry reed) consists of two magnetic reeds (usually composed of iron and nickel) sealed in a plastic shell. The two magnetic springs are overlapped, but there is a small gap between them. When there is an external appropriate magnetic field, within 1.5cm, the two magnetic springs will contact and conduct, so as to sense the change of object position.
The reed tube module needs to be used together with the magnet. When a certain magnetic force is sensed, it will be in the on state. The module outputs a low level. When there is no magnetic force, it will be in the off state and output a high level. The sensing distance between the reed tube and the magnet is within 1.5cm. If it exceeds 1.5cm, it will be insensitive or there will be no trigger.
The magnetron switch has compact structure and small weight, and can be installed in a limited space. It is very suitable for miniaturized equipment. It can be widely used in door and window limit detection, proximity switch, measuring instrument, automation / safety / transportation equipment, smart home and so on.
